Welcome to Modded by Ciela!
Hi, I’m Ciela—a Sims enthusiast and writer who’s been living in the world of plumbobs for over 14 years! My Sims journey began at age 12 when my mom accidentally bought me a Sims 3 DLC. Imagine my surprise when I realized it wouldn’t work without the main game! After some serious begging, my dad bought me The Sims 3, and as soon as I hit “Play,” it was game over (in the best way possible).

I fully dove into The Sims saga when The Sims 4 came out, and I’ve been hooked ever since. But after a while, The Sims 4 started to feel a little too… vanilla for me. I’d play for a few days, then get instantly bored. There were so many features missing and bugs that just wouldn’t quit! That’s when I decided to take the plunge into the world of mods.

At first, I was scared of breaking my game and overwhelmed by how to download them. But once I realized how easy mods are to install, I was blown away. It felt like relearning the game from scratch and getting so much more satisfaction out of my gameplay.

The one thing that frustrated me when I started exploring mods was the lack of a comprehensive resource for Sims 4 mods—a place with detailed guides, in-depth reviews, recommendations, and news. There are so many talented mod and custom content (CC) creators in the Sims community whose work deserves to be celebrated. That’s what I want to do: highlight their creations and help other Simmers discover the mods that will transform their gameplay.

Fun fact: Despite years of playing, I’ve never managed to play past three generations with the same Sims family. (It’s my Simmer’s curse!)

While I’m new to creating content for the Sims community, I bring experience from my previous blog, where I reviewed TV shows and movies. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and now I’m excited to combine it with my love of The Sims to share tips, recommendations, and inspiration with fellow players like you!
